I've posted a picture of Kona, my Akita/Lab mix, here recently but only now do I have pictures of Steve the Rottweiler and Brandi my Shepherd/Greyhound cross. Neither of them likes having their picture taken and I can't tell you how many bum shots I have of them as a result :)
Here they are from our play session out in the pasture yesterday afternoon. Finally figured out that if I let them run long enough eventually they come over to me in the shade to lie down ... besides they know I have dog biscuits in my pocket.
Minimal post-processing in PSE12 - cleaned up Steve's fur where he'd been wandering through the weeds collecting seeds and adjusted color on both as the contrast between the sunlight and where they were lying was so huge. Also did a small amount of sharpening.
C&C welcome.
Thanks.
Tom
Brandi, my 12yo-ish Shepherd/Greyhound rescue
Steve, the now 5yo Rottweiler who thinks he's a lap dog (at 90+ lbs I can assure you he is NOT!)

I'm partial to Steve, he is a good looking boy. And my 120 lb Rotty (Mackie), also thought he was a lap dog. Mackie passed recently at age 10, absolutely the best friend and dog I ever had. I miss him more than I can say.
Beautiful pictures. I am so very sorry that your furry friend moved on to a better place. We always miss them.
Thanks GPappy and GrandmaJoy ... appreciate the comments.
And GPappy I know the pain of your loss well ... in the past 5 years I've lost three dogs, a miniature donkey I just adored and a cool old gentle horse. Cried like a baby each time and at age 68 not too proud to say that.
Brandi is getting pretty feeble and I'm trying to prepare myself for her time which I suspect is going to be soon. Have to leave all 3 of them in a kennel for a week next month and really hope she's there to greet me when I get back.

Sincere condolences from my wife and I, both dog people to the core.
