Greenguy---I am sure no expert but I would like to have seen were the paths are leading. For example in the photo with the bridge perhaps if you had moved to the right more we could see were the path is going. I like number one as is.Also number four.On number 2 perhaps movement to the left to see where the path is going. Like I said, I am no expert so take it with a grain of salt as they say.
#4 is my favorite - the curve of that left hand tree is so interesting. I like the perspective and the colors. Did you use a fish-eye or ultra-wide angle to achieve this?
#2 I like the composition very much. Perhaps crop a little from the right-hand side?
I'm having trouble with #1, not knowing where to look. Kind of seems like the dead leaf and the fern were deliberately placed there. If they weren't, then maybe remove the top dead leaf and the two on left - which makes the composition now about the contrasts in color, texture, shapes between the rock and the green fern.
#3 - I agree with VHD about wanting to see where the bridge leads, but it sort of looks more like a holding chute :) I guess the ramp is not very interesting to my eye, so not sure what to make of the whole.
Your second photo proves that you are indeed "Greenguy".

i like number 3, bridge to nowhere doesn't matter to me, i just like it
The bridge really doesn't go anywhere. It is a small walkover, so the other side is the same as the foreground.
I used a 12-24mm Tokina on the trees at 12mm.
I didn't alter the rock and fern picture at all. The leaves were left as is.

The second image is a bit too over-saturated for my tastes - particularly way the grass is rendered to a very unnatural tone of candy-green.

In #2, I think the bark of the trees shows 'more'! And the greenery too! What do you think?

#3 is my favorite. #1 and #2 are a bit oversaturated for my taste. A more natural look might be more effective.
#1 - I like this as is. The leaf adds an item of interest to me.
#2 - I would have lightened up on the saturation. As for the path and where it goes, it looks to me like a vanishing point and that is a legitimate image to leave us wondering where it ends.
#3 - I would like to see that if you had been a little more to the right and closer to the little bridge. You could have taken that from the bottom edge of the bridge and been looking over the bridge making the shot into a vanishing point photo also.
#4 - Well done.
I am not an authority but just offering some thoughts.

I like 1, 3, and 4. Now that I look at #2, it is too saturated, but I like the composition. When I shoot trails and paths, I usually try for vanishing points. I don't need to know what's on the other side.
I want to thank everyone for the critique's and comments. They are greatly appreciated!
You are your best critic! I give you permission to use my rule: "Sometime it's one hell of a lot better to be lucky than good!" Kinda like the preacher being chased up a tree and he calls to God, "Lord if you can't help me, please don't help the bear". Not even the wannabe pros have attained perfection!
