Thanks Dngallagher. The first shot is two shots stitched together and the second is a single frame. The second shot looks closer but it has been cropped and is actually about six miles further away.
I especially like the first one. I was in Alaska 3 years ago and never got a shot at McKinley because it was socked in every day we were there.
It was almost completely cloud covered when I took the first photo. I think it was clearing up, but our bus driver didn't want to hang around any longer.
Beautiful images. I love the road curving into #1.
My lens was just the Canon 70-200 f 2.8. Some people in our group looked like they were carrying rocket launchers. They could probably get a picture of a Tick on a Moose's ear at 500 yards :lol:
