You don't want to post pictures, then don't post pictures.

When it comes down to it nobody is going to notice or even care.

I never understood these drama filled threads either, but at least we haven't had anyone say they are leaving the forum lately (which they can't do officially anyway unless they are banned) and then read all the posts of folks begging them to stay. :D

Some folks here have found necessary to reproach me of not posting any picture.

By choice I do not post anything important.

Yesterday I posted a picture in photo analysis expecting a real feedback, probably negative. Instead I had someone post an 'edit' to correct whatever.

Then some idiots came around and instead of addressing the picture I posted addressed the edit so... I decided NOT to post any picture anymore.

The thread has been first moved then deleted by the admin. The deletion being at my request.

Critique is not analysis. Critique is about everything including taste and perception.

Analysis is a cold, well.. analyses, of a picture that discounts the 'cuteness' of the subject and looks only at the technique involved. That is why I like this section.

ANALYSYS ONLY, PLEASE DO NOT POST EDITS

in your initial post. People seem to overlooking your signature line.

Another alternative is to simply be polite to the offender.

It's not just annoying. It wants us to install software just to see your posts. That's not going to happen. You have never posted anything worth any extra effort on our part.

If you don't want to participate fully in this forum nobody is really going to care. You will be the one that misses out, not us.

R, I can certainly relate to why some are reproaching you about posting.
There are a lot of Hogs that come on here and are authorities on everything from dynamic range to lens coatings. Some come here and say how they used to be pros, and some still are, as they dispense with photographic knowledge.
Well, this is after-all, a "photography" website. And yes we talk about cameras, lenses, backpacks and lighting etc.
BUT, frankly, if I'm going to take compositional/photographic advice from someone, No way in h*ll I will do that without seeing some of their shots first. Again, frankly, there are preciouse few that can actually shoot. And you/we/I will ONLY know that by seeing a pic. I know there are many here that will never post a shot, and I for one will just assume its because they can't shoot. Pros/good amatuers are very proud of their work. They live for their work to be seen, that's why they shoot.
I could care less if you never post anything, but if you want any respect, when you do post, make sure it's GOOD, or at least the BEST you got!! :lol:

Then you may want to look at my topic creation history and click on those that are in photo analysis and gallery. I will never post the 'best' simply because I do not want them 'shared' 'borrowed' or whatever as this is the net. I post what I do not care about, simple as that. If one fool think it is 'good enough' one can steal it for all I care but the others? Hell no!
