From the flea market. The corn is doing pretty good now. And I have been trying to but this farm for about 30 years now. It is the pretties place I have seen. But they sure want a lot for it.:( Maybe some day I will wear them down. Or they will shoot me when they see me pull in the drive again.:):)

Great red barn shot. I guess the owners figure, you shoot them, they can shoot you???
The corn's looking really good in southern KS, also.
Thanks, Erv.
Sure nice to dream about!

Erv,
I have just the place you are looking for right at 7000 feet in beautiful sunny Colorado. 180 acres with some woods, mule deer, black bear and a few mountain lions. When do you want to move in?
May I ask how big is the farm you want to buy and how much, generally speaking?

Hi Dennis. That sounds beautiful and I would be out there in a heart beat. But without Janny.:) She would disown me if we moved that far away from the kids.:):)
I would love to have 20-40 acres. About half of it woods. But would settle for 20. I have $200,000 saved up for a down payment.:) Been planning this for a long time. Kids and life keep getting in the way.:) If I could find the land, I could build the house I want. I have had the plan for it a long time too.:)
I looked at a 150 acre farm this spring and it went for $800,000.:) The barns were so so. But the house was not good at all.
Where I have been looking it is going for about $3500 -$5000 an acre without any houses on them. But haven't seen the land I want yet.:)

Bring Janny and the kids. You could build a house on the property for the kids. Whew. I am glad that is settled.
