Pollution and warmer temperatures combined to cause the water crisis in Ohio. You can keep denying climate change and you can keep denying that it's man made but you can't deny drinking toxins will kill you.

I seriously question the panic warning for the non-drinking of the water.. Seems to me someone hit the panic button a little early and possibly created one hell of a scare....

I can remember years ago the Cuyahoga river caught on fire.
(50yrs maybe) I think that Randy Newman wrote a song commemorating it.

Our water comes from Lake Erie via the Cleveland Water Department. Problems such as this is the reason we still have a cistern. I have always enjoyed the fresh taste of Lake Erie water, but I don't trust its delivery system.

It happens every year there. The wind pushed it toward the intake which does not happen very often. The water has been deemed safe to drink now! Still trying to manufacture a crisis Frank?

Here Frank, if it will help your gilt complex you could always start pissing in a milk jug! It might do wonders for your self esteem!

Idaho,
I don't expect you to understand science.
Actually, I don't expect you to understand anything.
Maybe you should consult with the deer head on your wall.

I have a BA in Geography and a minor in botany. I understand science well enough to know "junk science" when I see it! You see Frank, you liberals have a fatal flaw and that flaw is that you are so elitist and arrogant that you think you guys are the smartest ones in the room so when we shine the light of truth on an issue you guys insult, name call and resort to any other juvenile tactic you can think of!
Good luck with that! Read this you might learn something although I doubt it!

That's just terrible that those poor people were without water for *any* length of time. The article mentioned the drought in Cali, I know those people need rain so badly.

They were without water for a very short time. Around here and where we lived before we would be without water for a day or so when they flushed the municipal lines. We never made the headlines.

Anybody who has been on Lake Erie in the past three years only needs to look at the water to know there is a problem. Before assuming that it is global warming we should consider that scientist and environmentalist have been warning us for years the allowing runoff of commercial fertilizers and animal waste to go on unabated would cause this to happen.

Runoff is not good but easy enough to fix.

You are right except the politicians in both Michigan and Ohio have failed to address the problem. Perhaps now they will get off of the duffs and act.

The toxin level was three times what is considered safe to drink.
