If there's a hogger out there who's familiar with Topaz Remask 4 and Photoshop, I'm hoping you can help me. I've followed the User Manual instructions to extract a background but when I press OK, the photo shows up in Photoshop looking exactly the same as the original - i.e. without the checkerboard transparent background. In the little layers palette on the right side of the screen, I can see it, but it's not showing in the main window. Can you help? Please and thankyou.
Remask creates a new layer which it places above the background layer. When the program returns you to Photoshop, both of the those layers are visible. If you want to see only the masked layer, in the layers panel, click on the eye next to background layer. This will hide it, making it invisible. What you have left is the masked layer which "should" be visible with the transparency markings surrounding it.
