I don't want to hijack the original thread here by going into too much detail, but I wish you would post this photo in it's own thread. It is absolutely spectacular on the download.

I would love to learn more about your settings for stitching panos (and I bet others would like to learn more tool.)

I haven't worked on the photo yet. I will certainly do before it goes to the printer. Good idea to darken the left and right instead of reducing the blue in the center.
The whole idea using the cp in the first place was to get rid of the glare and darken the sky.
Here it is in a download. It is still a fraction of the original.
I don't have any problem with any stitching because I treat it the same way as I was shooting a spherical especially having objects in the foreground.
I'm using the Novoflex VR-ProII with a classic 5 ball.
Doing the set up correctly I think all softwares should have no problem stitching.

your first shot is one I would love to get--but probably never will
just stunning

Plessner, its easy, just tell hubby you are planning an Alaska trip and he either says yes or no more meals in the field, lol.

Seriously, if you ever decide to go, there are only 3 places to stay back in the park. One is an established campground for the "mosquito brave." Then there are a couple of lodges. The campground is actually right on Wonder Lake (the lake in my photo.) The lodges are a couple of miles away but you can hike to the lake any time. It is a wondrous place.

thank you for the info--I will try your plan!
Actually we were there in 2010 on a cruise tour 7 days on the water and 5 on the land. We were on the bus and it turned around when we were about 30 miles they told us from the mountain--I had hoped to get to the lake as I had seen so many wonderful photos taken there.Don't know if we will ever get back...Alaska is an amazing place

Although I live in the Appalachian Mountain region, it's the Rocky Mountains that I love to explore. Here are some of my favorites from Colorado.

All are very nice, I hope to check out that are one day as well!

I live in South Florida, so there aren't any mountians close by. In fact the highest point in the state is only 309 feet above sea level. si I pulled one out of my archives.

And I'm so glad that you did Fla Walt, we have family in Arizona...very nice!
