Here are some pictures I took of my grandson when on vacation in Oregon. Please feel free to critique. I am just starting and want to pursue some type of photography career. These were taken with my Kodak ZD710. I have just gotten a Nikon D5100 but haven't conquered it yet!

Yes Lyn...off to a great start....so when can we see some D5100 shots?...hmmmmm?? Just got mine a few months ago....and belive me it just takes some time...and practice.

Keep it up, you're off to a great start, and have great surroundings to photograph. If nothing else with the Nikon, you can put it on auto and have fun and proceed from there.

Same for #2.! Have you considered a horizontal crop for #2?
#4 Wished you had taken about 10 steps to your left for silhouette to be out in the water. Like the water crashing.
#5. Like everything except, wished the sun was shining on the young man. "Bad Sun".... I don't think I've ever been on a beach this flat and the sand holds the water like this.
