I found a nest of Great Horned Owls this spring and was able to get really close for some pics
Great photos of the great horned owls. Be careful, the adults can be mean.
They are all wonderful the baby bird has alot of personality thats how I feel before coffee with a picture like that causes you to interpet the feeling I LOVE IT
thanks Rich, the mama owl was around a couple of times when I shot them , all she did was hoot at me..but I was on the lookout, just in case
thank you blondie..I agree with the before coffee feelin'
if you look close at the 1st pic..back in far right corner, there is a half grown cottontail rabbit that Mama apparently had just delivered..minus the head
Here is another ..a bit closer look..

This is the best photo that I have seen of wildlife. Great job
thanks Rich ..I was able to get on a stepladder and get really close to them, the light was my main foil on these, either too harsh or not enough..
I find that the first two images are soft with too many distractions. It is hard to see the center of interest clearly.
The third, Frazzled, is better. The background is more blurred, the adorable subject is sharper and you got a good view of this "Frazzled" fella. I would have cropped off the left 20% or more.
Keep shooting.
I do not know why these responses are going after images other than the ones to which I am replying. It is hard to know to which one is replying.
Any suggestions?
