As far as the next article concerning the Galen Institute, I have to take my hat off to you. It appears by reading your comment, you work for the institute. I have nothing negative to say with respect to the instate.

I as well as millions of American's don't care how many changes he makes to Obama Care as long as the changes are positive to help the program to survive.

Well being retired since 2005 I don't work for them or for anybody (except the IRS of course) anymore and never did for them...

Again, my problem is the ignoring of the law....

a very simple and stupid (I agree) example could be that I am going down the street and see a lady crossing, it is obvious that if she continues in the direction she is going she will be hit... I accelerate, swerve into the lane just in front of her and dead center a van that was going to hit her..... I broke the law, but I saved her life......

One has to believe that President Obama changed all of the laws for the betterment of the ACA and not to help some of his contributors ie UNIONs etc. in order to believe that he SHOULD have changed those laws with out Congressional Permission

And Utopia will result. NOT. Boots on the ground have been the final stage and real fight for the past several thousand years, and still are. My sense that it will always be thus. No matter what robots can do, people are the only real solution. Armies are designed to break things and hurt people until the opponent gives up and gives in. Pacification only happens when people show their faces, and armies become people.

Well, maybe with time and new technologies, fewer boots on the ground, but yes man loves to kill as he knows no other way to solve his issues with his fellow man. When all else fails he kills, and kills, and kills. This seems to be an inherent trait of man, and unlike most other animals.

Cat, nobody knows the whole story yet, why are you being so nasty?

Actually it has been reliably reported that NSA had intercepted and recorded via satellite, a phone conversation between the Rebels and a Russian Commander reporting that they had just shot down a plane which they had thought was a troop transport. The time stamp coincided with the airliner's demise, leaving little doubt as to who did the shooting and that the Russian Army had a hand in this monumental screw-up.

I have reread the thread and was willing to admit to being wrong, but for the life of me cannot find a connection between your statement and anything else that was said that would indicate it was taken out of context. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were trying to make some point other than that we really should not have been involved in Europe.

Yes you really DID miss the point, which was that there WERE other options. And though there were compelling MORAL reasons for entering Europe, there were practical reasons for staying out as well. We did not HAVE to send a million men there and suffer 200,000 casualties. It COULD have been done another way - we COULD have isolated ourselves and only dealt with Japan who attacked us. And there were many in this country then who advocated just that. Given the same choices today, except for the advent of nuclear weapons, I think it quite possible we would choose to stay home.

Did Putin's troops posing as Ukranian protesters shoot down a commercial jetliner? It came down from 30,000 feet - too high for shoulder fired rockets. They shot down a Ukranian cargo plane recently, as well as a Ukranian fighter. But Mr OB still thinks we need to cut our military.
ya...what's he thinking, the rest of the world spends (a little) more than we do... being a cop isn't the best, but somebody has to do it

You obviously don't have much contact with wild animals. Man wars on other men for many of the same reasons as animals. Animals fight over resources - so do men. at least mammals do. Ever consider army ants? There is a real bunch of killers. The collective.

This is the largest economy in the world, a fat plum to be plucked. If we are a defenseless plum, what do you suppose will happen to us? The world spends next to nothing on defense because it depends, rightly or wrongly, on US to defend it. And who will back US up when we are attacked? Mexico?

Ha ha! I can see it now, rival wolf packs sitting round the table negotiating the distribution of Moose! This is such a typical romantic notion of people divorced from nature. Such innocence!

You are nuts. Hitler wanted to take over the world. You really believe that there was another way to deal with that mad man? Maybe we should have just sent Hitler a note and said "oh please mr hitler dont have a war with us". Your comments are ridiculous.

May be! However I am in good company. Many shared that very opinion at the time. And that is not my opinion, All I said (and why is this so difficult for some of you to comprehend?) is that there were choices to be made at that time, and one of the possible choices was to NOT send a million people to Europe and suffer 200,000 casualties. Is it impossible for you to understand the fact that there was more than one opinion at the time and that of two possible choices, one was taken over the other? At no time did I ever indicate that the other choice should have been taken, only that it EXISTED! What about that is so hard to understand?

"is it impossible for you to understand the fact that there was more then one opinion?. Who are you kidding, I guess that you are the only intelligent person that can understand the facts. Of course there were other opinions as to what should have been done at the time but they were few and far between. The reality of the situation was that there was no other choice but to become a part of the annihilation of the nazis. As a result of hitlers insanity 75,000,000 people died. there was no other choice but to stop them. In the changing world at the time the United States could no longer isolate itself from the rest of the world and it is a good thing we didn't.

Israel should be the one to back up the U.S. since the U.S. gives them $3 billion in military aid.

But instead, Israel has infiltrated our government, military and mainstream media.

This allowed Israel to pull off a foreign policy coup right after 9/11 which allows Israel to dictate who the U.S. will attack next. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7NsXFnzJGw

I'm betting the airliner shoot down has Israeli fingerprints all over it.
Blaming Russia for the shoot down is in Israel's best interest and it takes attention away from the atrocities Israel is now committing in Gaza.

Israelis have an identical plane to the one shot down. http://www.bollyn.com/are-the-israelis-planning-another-9-11-using-the-missing-777/ It's also identical to the missing Malaysian flight 370.
What's up with that?

It's not in Russia's interest to shoot down a commercial jetliner; they have nothing to gain from it. Also, there is no evidence Russian troops are present in the Ukraine.

I think it was nothing more than mistaken identity.
