Canon refurbished had the same for $456.00 about 2 months ago with 1 year warranty;haven't used it yet though!

yes,but again it was 2 months ago; also thier site changes daily.I was looking for 70-200 f4L for quite a while & they were always out of stock,but one day one appears and I bought it & was still on sale! Only trouble is they charge tax, but a lot of time Adorama will give you same price & no tax. Good Luck , I also have a refurb. 7D from Adorama which matched Canon's offer.

LFingar - Your price on the 17-40 is fine - someone really had a fine dreamland dream of getting that lens as a refurb for $456 - and it certainly wasn't a refurb from Canon. I sold my used 17-40, in near perfect condition, on Ebay for $580. Canon lists a new 17-40 for $840 and has the same lens as a refurb for $672 - about 8% below their retail. You should have no problem selling it for around what you are asking. Best of luck!

That's a fair price for what you're asking; I was just stating that Canon Store has good deals when thier lens are on sale.
