All I did was increase the brightness and bump contrast up just a tad. Then cropped. Now that I see it on here I don't think I would increased the brightness quite as much.

Thanks Maybe it needed a bit lighter. I wish the sun was shinning on the rightside of her face.

Ok, I am not sure if this is better or not. I am not a portrait photographer. I just like playing around in elements.
On this one I added a gradient to lighten up the right side of her face and I dodged some of the blown out highlights. I think I like the earlier one better.

I forgot to tell you what a cutie she is and the original is adorable. I just think it is a little dark.

Try blacking out the background- this cutie will stand out even more.

The original is the best. The darkness brings out the contrast and is has so much more character. I think I'd toss all the edits. Just sayin'.
