I am a big fan. He is someone who knew how to use the English language. Can't say the same about most of the posters here.

Actually, I'm interested in that fact, Tuttle Jr, as my own father was born in Ohio in 1888!
(I don't recall him ever being a "fan" of Mencken, but he always listened to Walter Winchell and Gabriel Heater on an ancient table tube-type radio. )
