I'm trying to hook my Nikon P510 to my ipad to work on my photos. I bought an adapter that fits into the ipad but I get no response when I hook it up. The adapter also has a card slot in it. I also bought an 8gb Eye-fi card but do not know how to use it. Can anyone help this dummy?
I have used the I Pad adapter to download Raw files from a Nikon D300. The camera kit comes with adapters that accept your memory card and also one that accepts the USB end of the camera download cable. I used the USB cable and it was strictly a plug and play connection, I.e. the IPad automatically recognized the camera and read the memory card in the camera, then I chose the specific images I wanted to download to the IPad. Just make sure the camera is turned on when you connect it to the I Pad. I have an I Pad using the latest Apple software update.
I bought an eye Fi card for my t3i and it is a little difficult to set up. Once it was set up it was extremely slow so I gave up and bought a 70D which has the wifi built in.

I have that camera. What I did was buy a micro card (radio shack) with the adaptor to fit into the camera SD card slot. Then you just remove the micro card and insert into your tablet to view the shots. Good Luck!
I just hard wire from camera to IPad. Would suggest you download Snapseed a free software that's works very well on your IPad
If you have adobe CC lightroom mobile is a great way to get them onto the ipad and then adjust them.
maybe i am missing something here can't you email your photo's to your iPad

That would work in an Android or Windows tablet. Unfortunately, Apple, in their infinite wisdom, does not include a card slot in any of their models. There ARE aftermarket add-ons you can buy that purport to supply this function, but I have read mixed reviews...

Exactly how do you hardwire from the camera to your iPad? I am not aware of any cables with this function. Also, what software are you using to make the transfer? Snapseed is an editor, but does not supply any utility functions I am aware of....I am not saying it is not so, and in fact I eagerly await the explanation so i can learn how. Please be specific with model/part numbers to the best of your ability. Thank you
