For someone so new to the UHH, you sure do like to call people names... Must be a progressive as that's all they know how to do... There is no denying of birth control here, just abortion methods, and it's not denying them, just not paying for them to do it this way. Evidently you can in late on this thread & have not bothered to read all of the pages.... You sir, are the Neanderthal....

Who do you work for? I'll bet whoever it is, they pay for the majority of your medical expenses unless of course you are self employed, and in that case you have a right to do what you want. But you don't have a right to deny an employee their rights just because you happen to disagree with their method of birth control. I guess you want us to go back to the dark ages when women had to go to another building once a month and were considered unclean. You are a neanderthal buddy. The religious right is just like the Taliban in their own closed minded way, sans the car bombs.

None of my purchasing choices are based on religion, so your analogy completely fails. I personally don't care if people buy cheap crap from HL regardless of the source.

HL is making a religious argument, not an economic argument.

I guess I am completely wrong to expect Evangelicals to be consistent. They use their religion when it suits them and then turn a blind eye when it doesn't. My mistake for pointing out the obvious hypocrisy.

Obvious hypocrisy is the keystone of all you democRAT little Nazi's.
You try to force everybody to think your way or else, kind of like your friends in ISIS.
You don't like anything or anybody except your warped friends.
And you think it's impossible to wind up like Robespierre, But I think it's in your future since your mother didn't have the morning after pill either.

Do you actually believe the tripe you are spewing? If you do you are either extremely naive or stupid!

So Jake,
Why is he stupid. He makes a valid point. If I have a moral or religious objection to something, SCOTUS says I don't have to do it.
Why can't I refuse to pay for blood transfusions if I object to them?

Firstly, I am not a sir. And secondly, I have read all of the threads but as a woman who is pro choice, I always find it interesting when a bunch of old men, who really know nothing about women's bodies are making all of the decisions. Trying to explain how this feels to me and other women would be like trying to explain compassion, empathy, and understanding to someone like you. People who believe that we need to go backwards in time are not really understanding society today. I'll bet you are one of those people who don't believe in giving gay people their rights. That is why I call so called Christians, the Taliban of the US and other men Neanderthal. I may be progressive but you my friend are regressive. Oh, sorry I guess we are not friends.

To be honest I really do not like to go on these rants but as you can probably tell I feel very passionate about this subject and have for a very long time.

You are hysterical. Now I know you are from the dark ages. No one calls California the land of the fruits and the nuts anymore. And when you say fruits, what exactly do you mean by that? You mean apples, oranges, strawberries and other such delicacies or do you mean something else?

So, tell me. How is this ruling making us go "backwards in time"?... My wife agrees with the ruling as well & she is a woman...No one is denying a woman the right to use one of these methods, just that the employer in this case does not want to pay for it. Does that mean you can't go & pay for it on your own dime ? No it doesn't....BTW, I am an agnostic, so your claims about my being a Christian have no bearing in fact. You merely have shown that you are nothing more than a bigot...

I just had someone, who has posted something in the neighborhood of 7000 posts on this forum, call me a newby. Well, maybe I am, but I can sure say one thing, I have a lot better things to do than spend the better part of my life doing this. Once in a while a subject comes up that I feel very strongly about and I express my opinion. Other than that I have a life.

Oh wow, my feelings are hurt. I didn't call you a christian, so I made a bad assumption about where your coming from. However, since you wife is married to you, I think that says it all. I'm sorry that wasn't nice. I apologize.

Yes Yes, the dark ages.... I remember them well, the period of time that existed prior to August 1, 2012.

Exaggerate much?

Corporate Statism? How in the world does this ruling strengthen corporate statism? This is all you have Bazbo, the decision is available online for you to read, you are one of the intellectuals here, you know your blog and all, I would expect a better argument based on the facts of the case and the courts ruling from you.... Not vacuous statements based solely on emotion.

Don't worry about that, Marblclear, emotions are high on both sides and people are being mean. I was furious yesterday because I am very much pro-choice and to me, this is on the road to taking our rights away. HL stands as a very self-righteous company and the religious owners, the Greens, are not so smart, in my opinion. They'd better have a lot of crafty conservative women shopping or they may be in a heap of trouble. I may be wrong about that, but women are boycotting and I've no reason to think they won't. Time will tell.

Some women cannot use oral birth control and the only option open to those women is an IUD. HL has chosen to believe that religion trumps medicine and has put their judgement on that. Getting an IUD costs from $500-$1000. Whatever. I just hope this does not become law for everyone...our nation is regressing because of the Republican Supremes. The Republicans on UHH can pretend this is wrong, denouncing it any way they want but women see this as the Republican war on women.
