A giant sinkhole.
Macocha Abbys (located in the Czech Repubic) is the deepest gorge in the Central Europe. It is 465 feet deep and underground river Punkva runs thru it. Opened to the public since 1914 the word "macocha" means "stepmother". As the legend has is a woman threw her stepchild into the Abbys but the little boy survived by grabbing a bush on the way down. He was rescued by lumberjacks and angry villagers responded by giving the stepmother taste of her own medicine. She did not survive the fall.
All photos taken with a pocket p&s Panasonic TZ3.
You can arrive to the Macocha in style with this "train".
Looking 465` down from the edge.
Looking 465` up from the bottom.
Part of the interior before you take the spooky boat ride.
The exit.

Well, when you have "wondering" feet and the means to carry it out, life is good. Hope to see some of your 'Kick the Bucket' BEST shots here in the Gallery from time to time.
