What should be done to share raw pictures after pp? Files are very large, around 25 MB. And best way to share lots of them?!
Convert to JPG on export, upload to flickr directly from lightroom, email friends and family the URL.

What PP program do you have? Who do you want to share with? For sale or are you giving these away? Do you belong to any photo sharing sites? What do you mean by share? Do you want others to see on your FB page?
The best way is to output to JPEG and upload somewhere, perhaps dropbox, or Smugmug, or Facebook is a great way to share. But you need to give us more information to go on.
Is it converted to jpg automatically when exporting from lightroom? There is selection when exporting: x percent. What should that be? Can only the folks to whom URL are sent see the pictures on Flikr?

You have to tell it what to export as under file settings in the export dialog box. Those settings are then sticky! They will be there next time you export.
Can't help with Flicker, find out the largest file size they take and use that. Generally you want to display at the best resolution possible.

I don't think any browser can view RAW files, so if you want to share them over the internet, you will have to convert them to jpeg.

If you want to share the raw files without compressing them to jpegs, Dropbox is a good option. That's how I share Raws or tiffs. For jpeg, the usual sites like Flickr or shutterfly are fine.
I tried Dropbox long ago. It was so slow!! I'd it still? And does it display only as list of pictures or all the open pictures as displayed in Lightroom?

I've never tried to put a full catalog in, or open a whole lot of pictures at once, it might get slow. It uploads pretty fast. Might be worth a try, it's had quite a few upgrades the past few years. I can download photos straight from camera rather easily if I want. I use it to share the big files for projects I'm working on with others, and one account to share with a business.
Keep them on memorycards and just buy new memory cards when you fill them. Thats a good solution.
Why would you even think of sharing (giving away) your RAW files to begin with? That's like giving away original recordings.

RAW files are not a photo file like the ones in JPEG format. RAW is strictly a pixel data file that can be processed by your PP program and recompiled into a photo rendition. Yes...you can send RAW image data to anyone as long as your IP and service can support such large files, but these are not viewable in any browser or Microsoft or APPLE photo viewer.
This RAW data file can then be stored and then recompiled as an image by using some CODEC and image processing software that the receiver has.
But...I repeat...RAW files are not viewable photo files.
I sometimes save many jpeg files as a PDF with added text.
I make it in micro soft publisher.

Hi, there are a couple of ways to do it.
I am assuming you have already processed your RAW files.
If you have a Flkr account you can just save your files as Jpegs and then upload them to your account and then email your friends the URL address.
A lot of the PP software, Lightroom, NX2, ViewNX2 have Slideshow features where you can create a slide show of the selected photos and then email it to your friends.
Hope this helps.
