I'm not sure either lateron, but that sounds right. The sad thing about the Belle is, she will never fly again, the good thing is she will be available to everyone at the USAF Museum here in Dayton! However, there is another B-17 ( The Champaign Lady) just 25 miles north of Dayton that is being restored to flight status. It is at Grimes Field, Urbana Ohio.

And we have one, just up the road with a big AIRWORTHINESS tag hanging from the left yoke. A local group associated with the CAF have it hangared at Hooks Air Port. Hey "lateron" you know where Tomball is and by the way, my best to Jean! Oh incidently, while I have y'all Brits on the line, did any of you get to RAF Schofield for the B-2, B-52 and U2 sightings?-----CTP

My wish list includes a visit to those famous WWII sites and the aviation displays. If you hear of an outfit that does that type of tour, please pass it on.

The following Company does a WW2 Airfield tour:-

http://www.britishtours.com/airfield-tours. I can thoroughly recommend a visit to RAF Duxford, (now under tha aegis of the Imperial War Museum, they have their own website under IWM,
I would suggest that you check the website for dates!!!!

You could also try RAF Tangmere, which had a museum, (If it still exists).
