Thanks. We had great weather and Carter spotted a lot of wildlife for us to shoot. I had a great time and met a lot of nice people...just like last year.

Hey Irene remember how cold we were when we walked down to the alpine lake to get the reflections ? My hands were so cold I couldn't feel the shutter button.
Looks like it was worth the walk down there...very nice.

Took me a while.... But.... I finally found this message board.
Let me reintroduce myself, I was the lady that drove the Jeep and joined you when you had just discovered the fighting bears. What an experience that was!!
Love the pictures you got from the cubs in the tree. Nicely done. That was a surprise to find them up there ;-)
Have included some of my pictures and wanted to tell you that is was great meeting some of your group at Yellowstone!
Nice shots the bears. I missed the big fight, but the rest was still exciting to watch.

Really nice pictures Mary.
Hello all.
I just got home from the park, and two interesting developments. The Cinnamon Black Bear with the two cubs that was fighting off the male black bear was over 30 miles away, with her cubs up another tree, going up Dunraven pass. The crowd was terrible so I only got a chance to take a few quick shots out the window of the Jeep, but was able to confirm it was definitely the same family of bears. A cinnamon sow with mixed black and cinnamon cubs is rare so I am 99% positive it was her. Here is a couple of the pics I was able to grab, she was quite a ways off for a 400mm, but that was all I had on the seat at the time, rangers were chasing everyone off already so a better shot meant a LONG hike and the sky had been raining and snowing for a couple hours at this point.
Here are some pics of the Osprey and 3 hatchlings. These are straight out of camera and the wind was terrible at the time so they aren't as sharp as I would like, but you can still see all 3 chicks. One is a little smaller than the other two, I think it just hatched yesterday, the others hatched Friday and are about double the small ones size.
