Recently downloaded a 30 day free trial of the entire Topaz suite and I have been playing around with all of them. I also use PSE 11 and Picasa. The question is.......do I still need Topaz and if the answer is "yes", then which one would be the best (I want them all, but a little expensive). Thanks

Yes. Topaz is great. You really don't need it all, but if you buy singly, it adds up to much more than whole suite.

Yesterday 6-5-14, I watched the "Metallic" webinar. In that the webinar Topaz Clean and Simplify were the primary tools; I have them both, but have not used them.... Oh! that's what they do!!, so now I will start using them with a specific project in mind. I have an car photo similar to the project photo, 56 Chev, great shot, but the techniques applied to the car in the "Metallic" webinar apply directly to that photo.

Thanks to all who took the time to reply..........you were all helpful.
I just purchased it on eBay for $120 plus s/h for the entire suite .......not a bad deal based on full list or even at 50% off. Looking forward to working with it and posting some of my work.

Sorry you did that. I myself would only by direct from Topaz. You don't know now if you have an old version and if you can get all the free updates. I hope you are lucky and didn't get a pirated version since they don't make DVD"s....Rich

Make sure that you get the key (A set of numbers) with it so for updates you have to have those numbers registered with them to get their updates. I'm not trying to scare you I just don't want to see you get screwed....Rich

My favorites, and most often used, are Clarity, DeNoise and Adjust. B&W and Simplify are also nice to have. I have others but don't use them very often.

On eBay. I was successful bidder at $120. I probably paid too much. I saw it go for $70 a few days l later. It seems this bidder has more to sell. He says it is Topaz 5 and has the key iincvluded. I checked with Topaz and they say it is eligible for all upgrades even if purchased from a 3rd party......good luck

I don't know what Topaz 5 is but I do know that there is Adjust 5. Make sure you ar not just getting one program. There are 14 all together and I can't see how you are going to get all 14 for $120 or even $70. To me there seems to be something wrong here....Rich

When I originally posted my question about Topaz I received many informative responses. There was also some concern that I was purchasing from a third party / it was not authentic / would not be supported by Topazlabs. The following is the response I received from Topazlabs when I posed the question to them.

"You are correct. You can download the latest versions of our plug-ins via the downloads page and use the key that should come with the Ebay package. Just make sure that it does indeed include a license key for the software".

The software arrived yesterday (ahead of schedule) and was exactly as advertised. All the Topaz Plugins were included along with "key" for each module. Software was installed / keys were registered and all modules registered as being authentic.

My final price was $120 plus s/h. I am sure that it can be purchased from the seller for less than I paid. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will forward the info.
