Your shutter speed is too slow on all of them. The dove is 1/125th and should be at least 1/400th. You could open up the aperture to wide open, use ISO 400 and increase shutter speed. Put the camera in AI Servo focus and single point focusing. Also, use Multi-shot mode and shoot as fast as the camera can shoot. 3fps??? I'm not sure.

The hummingbird shots, same thing. You need a shutter speed of at least 1/1000th to stop the wings. Use similar setting for these except a faster shutter speed and you'll get much sharper images with good detail.

jeep daddy, If you would have given me this advice six months ago, wouldn't have understood what you were talking about. So, now I have learned lots more about how to use my equipment and am anxious to follow your advice. I have used an ISO of 100 or 200 with aperture priority. I will work with the shutter speed. Thank you so much for your specific suggestions.
