This is an area of Yellowstone called Firehole Lake. A lot of hot springs here cause this steam in the early morning . This particular morning was quite cold and the fog & steam put on a show. My favorite area of Yellowstone in the early morning.

The morning we were shooting this, was in late October. I could hear a Wolf howling on one side of the valley and an Elk bugling on the other. A lot of Elk & Bison hang out here. Quite often you will spot a Coyote. A lot of Mountain blue birds and Ducks. Awesome spot. This shot was from the same area. A little fog from the thermals and a little steam from the runoff and a little frost because it was about 10 degrees.

Thanks, Here is a "MAN" fishing along the Firehole and a sunrise on a crisp Firehole morning. And, yes he was catching fish. It snowed about 6 inches in an hour while I was watching him. He caught & released about 5 trout. They grow them tough in Montana/Wyoming.

Those are some great shots. Like them all, but being an old fisherman, the fisherman in the snow is true devotion to his hobby. You standing there watching him long enough to catch and release 5 trout places your love of photography in the same category.

When I told him he was really devoted to fish in weather like that he turned around and said "And there you stand with a camera in your hand".
