Recently downloaded a 30 day free trial of the entire Topaz suite and I have been playing around with all of them. I also use PSE 11 and Picasa. The question is.......do I still need Topaz and if the answer is "yes", then which one would be the best (I want them all, but a little expensive). Thanks
Which did you find yourself using the most often? Which do you LIKE to play with?
I bought Simplify for half price on sale in Feb., Detail for half price on sale in April, and Clean (which I use the least) half price on sale in May :) Simplify is the most fun for me for "effects" and Detail helps a lot with clarity and general pp.
I'm still pretty new to Topaz (found the entire package for under $100, incredible deal.) I'm still on the front end of the learning curve, but I use Detail and Adjust a lot. I mostly use the presets, but I understand I can make smaller tweaks.
Thanks. Where did you find that deal ?

I'm pretty sure it was E-Bay. Had some doubts but it all works. The one problem is that you have to activate each individual program (14) with a unique 30-digit code. My dyslexia did not help.
I have them all and use Adjust and Detail the most.
There was a 3/$75 deal on the Corel Site. Once I missed a bargain deal and wrote Topaz sales, they honored the deal after the closing date. The worse that can happen is they say no. Deal reference by me:
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-213037-1.htmlBe patient and wait for 50% off sales. Remember, thus far Topaz has never charged for upgrades to new issue. My Topaz 3, is now Topaz 5 and never a charge for upgrading.
Training Webinars are great, free and give you 30% off of program that is the subject of the webinar.
You asked which recommended, well the other way around... which of my full package do I use least: Lens Effects, Star, clean.... I am using Adjust (my very first) less since I can do the same in other Topaz programs.
I use deNoise and Detail as a first steps in any photo I do. Especially for my from the hip shots using the 24/7 Panasonic ZS20 travel zoom which has noise at higher (sssss don't tell any one... all) ISO settings.

I have all of the Topaz plug ins. Started out with Adjust and just kept buying. Save yourself the some money and time and get the whole suite. At some point you will want to use them all.

I have the Topaz DeNoise 5, and that is all I have from the suite. I also use Elements and Lightroom. Just my opinion

Myself I have PSE 11 and all of the Topaz products and too me that is the way to go. They always have at least a 30% discount on their full set when ever you watch one of their webinars. In fact I think they have one right now and I feel they are worth the price and remember they give you all their updates for free where other ones charge you....Rich

I love, love, love Topaz filters.I just purchased Topaz Restyle which is 30% off until the 8th & can't believe how much you can do with that filter! Of all of the filters I have I use Clarity & Adjust the most but I think that will change now that I have Restyle.I couldn't afford to purchase the bundle so I watch & when the filters I want go on sale I buy them. They are great filters & you will enjoy them I am sure. They have free you tube tutorials on each of their filters so if you have time go check them out first before you purchase any!

I have tried most of them, bought Adjust 5 & DeNoise 5. I personally use Adjust 5 and have found it normally does everything I need to do.
It is a matter of choice. Which one or two do you find yourself using? Buying one just because I use it might not help you at all.
You might want to look at Perfect Photo Suite 8. I actually like it better and find it pretty easy to use.

I use Topaz all the time and have the whole suite. I have used DeNoise, Adjust, and Simplify. Dpullum is correct when he says the the training is great and to wait for the 50% off, which is around Christmas. You can look at Perfect Photo Suite but all it is, as far as I know is a bunch of filters.

Out of the suite I use Denoise the most and Adjust second. Simplify is often useful and occasionally B&W effects. Star Effects has been useful for certain pictures.
I particularly like the hand tinted chiffon in B&W effects.
Many of the filter effects can be done in other programs - sometimes better, sometimes cheaper - but it can be useful to have them all in one place. If you decide on several of the filters, then the complete suite - although expensive - may be considered a worthwhile purchase.
