I'd like to know how he deserted as a PFC and comes home as a SGT? What do you bet they give him back pay for his time in captivity? And what about the Ft. Hood shooter, he's still in the Army but allowed to grow a beard and collect his pay while in jail awaiting trial. The system is broken!

Yeah, I think he should have been left to rot. Why bring home POW's? McCain should have taught us that they aren't worth bringing home.

dljen, you have every right to disagree with Sen. McCain's politics, but to try and compare Sen. McCain's POW situation to the one Bergdahl experienced is unconscionable. Unless new and unexpected facts are revealed concerning Bergdahl and how he came to be "captured", he should be tried for desertion and maybe even worse.

Your second and third comments are way out of line. McCain did not leave his post in wartime and to even suggest that we should not try to bring our POWs home is just about as bad as Bergdhal's desertion. Extremely poor taste IMO.
