The Illumination on this one really sucks as he was in the bush..
Good action photo. In photoshop do you use "dodge ,burn and sponge " tools?
Good colors and detail on this one Martin. Illumination doesn't bother me but it's not your standard bright shot.

Hey Steve, I have all the tools but never work the shadows much on my macro because I lose the details. My diffuser is so large know it's hard to get into tight spaces. My Landscapes is a whole different story, as I'll photoshop the life out of them.
I want this so bad I can taste it. (Not the leaf hopper but rather being able to shoot like you do.)
Thank you, really appreciate the compliment.
We all have to start somewhere. Here's a photo from my first macro shoot with our local club back in August 2012. Not true macro but I had no ideal at the time.. I thought I had nailed this shot and several more just like it and was happy with the results. But now, 21 months later and lots of practice I'm finally getting the quality I want. It's taken me a long time to get at this point, but have really enjoyed the time out in the field learning. Looking forward to the next 21 months with as much enthusiasm as when I started. I may even find a different subject then Jumping Spiders..
As long as your enjoying yourself and trying to improve then it's just a matter of time. The more you practice the quicker you'll get there.

Thank you so much for your encouragement Martin. It means a lot to me. I can so relate to your August 2012 picture. It gives me hope!
