Two redneck truck drivers are barreling along when they come up to a low bridge.
A sign says, "Clearance: 11' 2".
So they get out, measure their truck, and realize that it's 11' 6".
So the first guy looks at the second guy and says, "I don't see any cops around .... let's go for it!"

I once observed a North Carolina furniture hauler measuring the height of an overpass in New York with a tape measure. New York lists their bridges about a foot below what they actually are.

I got called out on an accident involving a truck that had hit a railroad bridge. The bridge was ok but the truck was a mess. The top was torn off almost all the way and the frame was broken and sagging. The warning sign said 10' 11" and he was 12'. He was carrying a load of peat moss bundles and they had to be off-loaded with a fork-lift. Quite a mess.
