Does any one know of a place that I can get inserts custom made?

I have a coach bag I want to make into a camera bag. I need to replace the inside with padded liners, and the part that makes it flat on the bottom is missing, and needs to be replaced too.

I am wondering if anyone knows where I could get this done professionally, or order from, or I can even do it myself if ther are places that have instructions.

I'd look for a luggage repair store or an awning fabricator.

Seamstress could fashion inserts, add Velcro and foam.

Ya know, a yoga mat is a little too flexible. But the mat like is on his table there has some posibilities...

Got a few ideas while watching this...

Might have to make my own video...

Chick, if any of this needs to be glued together, either use 3M spraybond 90, or 77.
Better, go to a shoe repair and ask if they sell Barge contact cement or it's equivilant. If not, ask them to sell you some out of their gallon can. go prepared with your own small container!
Sounds fun. Good luck. ;-)

Good tips.

I used to make purses to sell at charity auctions, so I have lots of stuff to work with.

I think I have decided to make a cardboard an duct tape version 1 then when I am sure what I want make the whole thing.

The Coach is HUGE so thinking I will make it with a shelf on that I can bungie things to on the part when you unzip it...

I will post something when I am done my steps. unless it looks like crap or I do not remember to take photos or video

That's kinda' the reverse of the advice many people give about having a low visibility camera bag. You could add a few dollar signs to it as highlights. :D

Ikea has foam pads, quite firm, very reasonable, that would do if you cut and fitted, I just put an extra bottom in a fishing bag to use as a camera bag, that's all I needed as all my gear has padded sleeves to protect the individual pieces.

I bought a purse/camera bag from Darby Mark on line. The inserts are not sewn in and can be switched to other bags. Not sure if they sell the inserts seperately, but might be worth checking out.
