Found these two old tractors together up on the mountain. Do you notice anything funny about the front one?
The tire is off the wheel? I miss my Farmall A!
Both tractors look funny to me, but then farms are not my thing. :) (However, I do like barn pictures.)
Could be a split front end.
Plastic bottle covering the exhaust. Those tractors were built in Rock Island, Illinois, bordering Moline, home of Deere & Company.

Right, and I wonder how it happened. It looks like the rim is bent like it was in some kind of mishap. Richard

Yes, pmgus3, plastic bottles, tin cans, whatever works. When I was a young kid, my dad had an old Minneapolis Moline flat land model combine. When we sold our small farm, we transported it to the larger, 20,000 acre ranch, where it lived out its days and then went to the bone yard.
Thanks for looking. Richard

Two of us had a good study off the wheel, and decided that the tyre off the rim was the topic of difference. I work in a bicycle shop and see tyre off the rim like that quite often. I don't think the rim is bemt, I think ou are seeing the inner tube draped over the rim giving that appearance. if the tyre had merely gone down it wouldn't have done that but if it was driven flat the result would be what you can see.
Good spotting. Andrew
harclod, are you really 68?

Looking more closely at it now, you are correct. It is the tube hanging down. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Richard

Yes Sir, I am. Born in 1946. The avatar is my high school graduation picture. You don't want to see me now. I've had 6 major cancer surgeries, massive chemo and radiation, 1 heart attack and 1 stroke. The old body don't look and act the same as it used to.
Now do you need to see a copy of my birth certificate too?
I too am a cancer survivor with chemo and radiation experiences.
The most important thing is that we are both alive and kicking.
Have a good day.

I noticed it, too. I had a Farmall BN and miss it.
