If you want a fast lens with the shallowest DOF, then buy a 300mm f2.8 lens ...
OR, a fast 85mm lens ... there should be one with an f1.4 aperture.
Maybe you should look for a mount for a leica

Blog, there is a simple solution, but I don't know if you're ready for that kind of commitment. You could either buy an inexpensive, or rent the body and lens.
Do keep in mind that ALL 1.2 lenses have the exact DoF, length is of no consequence(assuming relative minimum focus distances) .
Blog, welcome to the old west world of Canon, where the good guys all wear big white lenses, and can shoot really fast!!

There is only one good option in this situation. If it is important to use the fast Canon lenses then you have to buy a Canon camera. That are the only cameras that will work really well with those lenses. Sell your D800 and buy a Canon instead.
