Wow! Some really great pictures on this thread.

I took this a couple years ago with my old Canon Power Shot SD500. Just a point and shoot but I miss that old camera. And yes the elephant did get the branch and eat it.

Oh, they kill if they can. They just don't EAT you right away. They stow you for a while to let you ripen.

I had a Powershot A630 followed by a Powershot A650 and they were great cameras. If the 650 hadn't died, I probably would still be using it.

i think this one qualifies... right place, right time, and just crazy enough to try. how long does a soap bubble last? i got three fast frames before it popped...

I just went to your website - I'll have to go back again but I saw some beautiful images. Do you have a book? If not, you should at least think about it.

To take photographs means to recognize - simultaneously and within a fraction of a second - both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning. It is putting ones head, ones eye and ones heart on the same axis.
- Henri Cartier Bresson

Oh wow, memories. I know just where you had to be standing to take that picture. How many long afternoons spent in that park of my childhood ... and I love it in black and white because for some reason, that is exactly how I remember it in my mind's eye!

Thank you. Sometimes, it seems so far away and so long ago ... and then a see a picture and it all comes rushing back. I did love the park. And the carousel ... and the Alice statue ... and all the wonderful nooks and crannies hidden throughout the park ...
