It is that time of the year. Here is an artistic rendering for your viewing pleasure, and comments should you want.

I like it!

I'm still enjoying painting with Topaz. Kind of addictive :)

Nice! I like the watercolor effect especially with tulips. If I could suggest, I might back off the green just a touch, seems to be overwhelming the color of the flowers themselves, but could just be my monitor, too. Overall a very pleasing rendition of the image.

Thank you Linda for liking my image.

Might I suggest that an addiction is not a good reason to use a PP program, be it one of the Topaz modules or some other program. Yet I know all too well what you mean. When we get a new program, we have a need to test and experiment. I like to tell people get to a point with any new filter program where it improves your original image in a manner where you are not seeing the filter. At first, until the new rubs off, some have a tendency to over use a new filter.

Now with regard to your Topaz comment, was it just a friendly non-related comment, or were you suggesting that my Tulips are a result of Topaz filters in some fashion? If that is the case, I would love to know your thinking if you would be so kind. To help in this thinking, I am posting the original photo below so you and others can compare.

Also posted is another Tulip image where it has been really modified for an artistic presentation. . .and no Topaz was used.

Ken

Edit: Maybe to be fair, I should post the original photo used in the modified artistic presentation.

I didn't recognize any particular application in your image, was just relating that I too enjoy making artistic statements from "straight" shots :)

And so it did pass that the old codger still loves the little girl from Maine. . .

I see nothing to dislike on any of the renditions. What all of these say is, spring finally sprung... the ice, the snow and chilling winds and frozen fingers have finished their due course. There are bright colors, muted hues, lots of green and dew drops and its all good. And I don't see my breath anymore when I talk.
