I took this photo today of a Bee in good detail with the Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm.
The distance was about 8-10 feet.
Again, all my shots are hand-held.

Canon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm - 1/800 - f/11 - ISO @ 800.

I can see the pollen on his fuzzy body and for the first time I was able to see the "bee's knees". I had no idea what that meant so looked it up and evidently is a slang for dandy or hot stuff! So seems pretty apropos to me!

Hot stuff is when I see Marie Osmond in a itsi, bitsi, tini, tiny black bikini. That's show Beesness.
I picked on her because she is closer to my age, but not that close.

The clarity & sharpness you get from your Tamron is amazing! 8-)

Thank you very much, Lamanup. I'm sure you will be getting great shots if you had the Nikon version of the Tamron lens.
