One of my friends in college was from Downers Grove. I'm jealous! I grew up in the NW Chi-town burbs and enjoyed the snow. This year St. Louis has had like a total of an inch of snow all season...and in recent years (maybe it's normal) there is more freezing rain/drizzle than snow anyway. Maybe I need to move to Denver.

I knew a fellow in Fairbanks that had a sidecar on his BMW and rode it year round! He was committed to riding... or just needed to be committed!!!

What was your friends name?
I went to Downers Grove South HS.
Those pictures were taken in 69 or 70, that's me in the doorway.

my sister and brotherinlaw and family live in downersgrove on washington st.

yeah, they get snow, but i am 8 hours drive stright north of them in the western tip of michigans upper peninsula, we usually get 200-300 inches per year....but this year is weird...we hardly have any snow on the ground. very weird. i have only snow blowed 4 times this season.

Kept me home from work for three days until a local farmer plowed the road with his tractor. He plowed our driveway a little wider too, after my wife and I spent two days shoveling it out by hand. Guess we should have waited.
