I love the movie Duel for a few reasons. This is one more. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting this. Based upon the diverse big venues she played on, the music industry knew who she was. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know her name.

The lady is really good. Had a number of groups play in my lounge, including Barry Manilow when he was quite young . Had the group backing Aretha Franklin, w/o Aretha. In the group was a stand up bass. Now and then they would have me use the sticks and play " Big Noise From Winetka" They were. Good and we had a lot of fun. Barry Manilow was a nice kid. The bass players with drums really drove the beat.
That was wonderful to listen to. Thanks for sharing and my favorite is HONKY TONK.
That was great Travesty - there are many excellent musicians tucked away in the background who are the real music makers but do not get the public credit they deserve.
I remember a story years ago that Ivor Mairants, great guitarist, played for Elvis Presley.
good reminder - thanks for sharing!!
I am glad to know that I am not the only one out there that appreciates this... Glad I could share this... :)
That Muscle Shoals documentary is excellent. and, very enlightening.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMznvEgOPhUI have communicated with Carol several times, and she e-mailed me a list of all of the songs, tv and movie themes she had played on. The list is ten miles long. Well, it seems it is. All I could think of was, “SHE played on that, TOO????"
