Thanks for posting this. Based upon the diverse big venues she played on, the music industry knew who she was. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know her name.

The lady is really good. Had a number of groups play in my lounge, including Barry Manilow when he was quite young . Had the group backing Aretha Franklin, w/o Aretha. In the group was a stand up bass. Now and then they would have me use the sticks and play " Big Noise From Winetka" They were. Good and we had a lot of fun. Barry Manilow was a nice kid. The bass players with drums really drove the beat.

That was great Travesty - there are many excellent musicians tucked away in the background who are the real music makers but do not get the public credit they deserve.
I remember a story years ago that Ivor Mairants, great guitarist, played for Elvis Presley.

good reminder - thanks for sharing!!

I have communicated with Carol several times, and she e-mailed me a list of all of the songs, tv and movie themes she had played on. The list is ten miles long. Well, it seems it is. All I could think of was, “SHE played on that, TOO????"
