Found it!! Looks like it may have been a military service vehicle at one time.
That is it my friend. I was born and raised in Detroit. Before I moved to the southwest in 1977 I worked for Chrysler. These were built at the truck plant about 2 miles from my home in Warren, MI. I had to go there periodically to work on certain things. I know at that time they still built these in the Middle East and we sent boxes of parts for them to assemble. I do not remember if they were still building them here in the US or not at that time. This was a great vehicle and an absolute work horse. Many were used as battlefield ambulances. They were still using them in the Army in 1965 when I got out of the military.
