I am constantly amazed at the intolerance and hatred non believers have towards religions. Virtually all religions preach love, peace, and understanding. It's the warped interpretation of what is love, how to obtain peace, an who needs to understand who is what leads to conflict.

I am a Christian and have absolutely no fear of my Muslim friend killing and beheading me. I also do not protest funerals and do not believe that God hates homosexuals.

Be that as it may, I have seen many people whose lives were devastated from crime, drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc. turn their lives around to become decent loving people through the message of Jesus. You cannot deny that Christianity has had a very positive impact on a lot of people.

As far as each religion believing theirs is right and every one else is wrong - what's wrong with that? It doesn't mean each HATES the others. After all, it IS possible to disagree without hate. Many Christians do not support gay marriage. While I have no problem with gay marriage myself as I don't believe the state should have ANY say in who marries who as long as everyone involved are consenting adults (just like every other contract), I see no hatred of gays there. It's just a difference of opinion.

Similar with Islam. All the Muslims I've met are kind & decent people that do not believe in violence. Yet there are many who interpret the Koran as condoning violence towards non Muslims. It's not the fault of Islam. It's the warped interpretation by inherently evil and violent people.

What we should do with our youth is too take them away from their parents at birth, just a select few (the rest will be aborted) and start teaching them about Socialism at the earliest age possible. Start them out as lil' Flower Children, teach about free love and commune living. Dispel the idea about individualism. Swear their allegiance to the government. Teach them that there is no God but that they themselves are Gods. And oh yes, don't trust anyone over thirty.

In answer to the OP, what actually happened was a member of the council was approached for permission for a procession relating to the Passion Play. The person concerned not being aware of the Passion Play, thought the word Passion was related to a pornographic presentation. They he/she refused permission for the procession to go ahead.

There is little interpretation involved when the Koran specifically states that non-Muslims (infidels) are to be killed at every opportunity. So, you and I may know "peace-loving" Muslims, but they actually are infidels in the eyes of their own "religion".

When will the majority of we Americans rise up and denounce or better yet drive from our midst, those who misrepresent us and denigrate our benevolent and loving Country? You know who I mean, those Liberal Progressive Socialist Democrats! Why why why? WHY?

Should we rise up against our country men? Brother against brother? You don't like me, maybe even hate me but is that any reason to not try to understand me, meet me half way? How many of us Americans just lay back and let jack happen without a care in the world as though it dose not concern us. Most of us don't even vote. A few don't even know the name of our Congressional leaders. I have friends that don't even watch the News because they don't like what they see.

One thing is for sure. Everyone has an opinion but so few care to do anything for the greater good of us all. And that is why a few Muslims don't say anything about what other Muslims are doing. They are no different than us.
