This is my cat Cleo. I rescued her from the convenience store/gas station my daughter works at. I have not seen another cat with quite the same markings.
Taken with my OMD E- M10 and fill flash.

Oh, you are right, she is very unusual. What a beautiful cat. I have two cats and also volunteer at a local no-kill shelter SARL in Salem, NH. I take their animal shots for their web site and Pet Point. I shoot one day each week of the new animals that came in. I love it and find it so rewarding. We are very luck and have a great turnover. Seeing them get adopted so fast really makes my day and feel wonderful to be a part of it. I also volunteer in their kitty city taking care of the cats, cleaning litter boxes and doing laundry.

Another rescued cat here - been my friend since she was just a few months old and she is good company. Of course she isn't as uniquely and beautifully marked as yours.

I actually have two lovely little girls with similar colors and markings. Dalla, the one that has the darker red, looks very much like your cat. Holly has a cream color to some areas while others are a light red. Holly was a "dumped" kitty that wondered to our house 3 different times before we took her in. Dalla was adopted from Pets Alive here in San Antonio.

I think that is called a Calico cat. My memory is that all male Calico cats are sterile.

"Calico" refers only to a color pattern on the fur, not to a breed.[2] It is absent from lists of breeds.[3] Among the breeds whose standards allow calico coloration are the Manx, American Shorthair, British Shorthair, Persian, Japanese Bobtail, Exotic Shorthair and Turkish Van.

Because genetic determination of some coat colors in cats is linked to the X chromosome, calicoes are nearly always female.[2][4] Because of the genetics involved, calico males generally have impaired vitality and are almost always sterile.

Actually she is a Tortoiseshell, Calicos seem to have more white in the markings. I did a google search and compared the pics of Calicoes and Tortoiseshell cats.
