it goes to show the SX50 is as good as anything out there.
I would say your new Canon SX50 is a keeper. Nice job. Thanks for sharing. I am waiting for the 60 and don't see how they can improve on them very much. My only complaint with the 50 is the focusing and the timer button placement. Bee

Comments, please, on the shots I took with my new camera. These are all handheld.
Nice job, Lindago, and good choice of cameras for what you'll be shooting. Keep working with it and pretty soon it will 'fit like a glove'. That's when you really begin enjoying using it... when you can concentrate fully on the shot instead of settings, etc. They are a fantastic camera for monry. I love mine. (In fact, I can't remember when I used my 'heavy' equipment last.)
Keep posting.

What the heck pictures are you talking about? It doesn't appear that the context of you remarks go along with these beautiful photos. I think there should be an apology in there somewhere.
OH!! I think I get what your saying , I don't have a opinion , or are you saying , if you can't say what a beautiful set of pictures these are say nothing .and ignore the poster words (comments please) . just what the H are you trying to say ? Only positive comments please . there is no point in your point of view . that I would even consider . we all see things differently .

Re,Bram boy's semi-incoherent reply. You asked for comment and he gave his opinion which he is entitled to.He does not take into account the fact that you were trying out a new camera. The SX50, despite being a bridge camera is quite a complicated camera and takes quite a bit of getting used to.
He is right in saying they are not prize winning photos but that was never your intention-you were trying out the Canon
and, in that context they were very good and well worth showing.Keep it up.

Very nice. I just love my SX50. You are a quick learner. :-D
I would say watch out for what you ask for .... it sometimes can come back to bite you. I many ways I would follow with what was posted by Bramboy but I am not sure that the feelings should have been that harsh .... they were snap shots and that was all she was trying for to see what the camera would do .... with more shooting it will get better and for sure in Alaska I do not think that anyone can get a bad shot. Nice work Keep Shooting!!!!

Ya know, Linda, I don't know what bramboy is talking about! He's being nasty; must've gotten out of the bed on the wrong side! Even on download, your pictures seem to be perfectly in focus and so pretty! Keep 'em comin'!

I agree, an apology should be forthcoming.
Thanks so much for turning me onto Lillian Stokes. I did as you suggested and requested more information. Linda
I agree about the timer button - I hit it a few times on my first outing.
Thanks for your comments. As for BramBoy, he seems a little frustrated with his own photos, although why he thinks he cannot post as I did in the forum is beyond me. Even as a beginner, I figured it out. You are correct, I am trying to learn the camera and was hoping for some constructive comments . . . like why the frog photo was blurry behind the leaf. Except for the first photo that I did think was pretty good as the light was fine, the lake was perfectly still and the reflection was almost a mirror image, the others were me trying out the long zoom.
