Anyone know where I can place an order for this lens. I tried with BH and others trusted main stores but it always back order. I am appreciated for your helps. Give me a link to get there, please. Thanks again.

I am, along with others, on waiting lists. Only heard of one recently found in a store. I was reading some old blogs and saw where Sigma did the same thing when they introduced the 150-500. Sent a few out for short period to tease people and I guess build some excitement before the main release. I expect that was successful for them so Tamron is doing same.
Waiting, patiently (almost).

I'm hoping you want it in Canon mount. Otherwise you will be waiting a long time.

I have a customer who has been on the Canon mount wait list since February with three different suppliers, he finally gave up and bought a Sigma 150-500mm from me yesterday. Two months is a ridiculous wait for an "available" lens.

Keep scouring Ebay on a daily basis...If it's threatening your manhood, wear depends or squeeze it. If you need a lens for an assignment, rent one.

I totally agree.
On another note, is the Sigma really as sharp as the Tamron?

No idea, I haven't been able to get my hands on the Tamron. The Sigmas are nicely sharp, and most of the Tamron images I have seen have been sharpened in PP, some of them way too much.

My brother was looking at the Tamron, but with the expected long delay, he is considering other options.

If you're interested, the newest Pop. Photography Magazine has a test in the Tamron 150-600, and talks about the Sigma so.... You might be able to bring that up online if you're not a subscriber. I do know that if and when I buy, I'll have to go with the Tamron. I like the thought of the 960mm long end, on my Canon. I've always dreamed of having a 1000mm lens. Not quite but, close enough. And then, of course, I'd just have to let GAS get the better of me and buy a full frame camera to go with it. :?: Love your avatar.
