Shot 600+ frames at the Lakota Wolf Preserve in N.J. last month. Terrific opportunity to photograph some outstandingly beautiful animals. Early morning, low light required 900 - 1100 ISO shooting wide open with a 28-300 mm Nikor on a D600.
I love #1 and #3. You brought out their intelligence and beauty.
Welcome to UHH!
Thanks! Yes, the "eyes" have it:-)

I really like the No.5, just mother nature's pets, really nice shots
Thank you. The group howl was pure music! Seems that wolves howl for any number of reasons, sometimes for the pure joy of it!
Awesome and outstanding images...well done. That was quite an experience. ;-) Oh...and welcome.
Thank you. It's great to see the work of other photogs.
The shoot at Lakota was quite a learning experience.
Rule number one: always check your settings "before" starting to shoot. Oh boy, a half hour into the shoot I discovered I was shooting medium jpg files! RAW has "always" been my go-bye. I love the post processing room it provides.
Where the jpg setting came from has me mystified. Perhaps my half frozen fingers twirled the wrong dial:-)
I see by their website that fox and bobcats are included...just wondering, the second one sure looks like a fox. Had a beautiful fox hanging around our property several months ago, but recently saw her and mange had taken its toll on the poor thing. :(
beautiful - really like the fox, the white wolf & the last shot with 2 wolves! :)
There were so many great opportunities for shots. Sorting and processing the really good/lucky ones has been daunting.
The day of the shoot the bobcat was at the vet. Was told she was suffering from seizures. All the residents of this preserve are wild, but well cared for.
