I went back out with my PowerShot SX50 last night. These were also shot hand-held. By the way, it is most definitely mosquito season in Florida!!! :D

The camera was in manual mode, ISO 200, f-stop f/6.5, shutter speed 1/320s.

Thanks mrgraphic. Getting the SX50 on target and focused, while at max zoom is a feat unto itself. I've learned to use both eyes :D

Thanks rlaugh, gwr. Until I get a telescope and camera adapter, this will probably be the best I can do.

Are you getting warmed up for the eclipse on the 15th?

Yessir, I sure am! Hopefully mother nature will cooperate!

Let me just add that I don't know if I'll be able to get photos of the lunar eclipse. It won't reach totality until after 3:00 AM ET, and I have to work that morning.

Amazing results considering the size of the sensor.
