Advice please.
Has anyone used the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 Di LD IF macro with a Nikon D7000, and if you have, what are your thoughts on how they work together. Thanks
I have not used this lens but want to point out that this is not a macro lens. It is a close focusing telephoto with a max reproduction ratio of 1:3.1. A true macro is 1:1. I have seen posts from people in photography forums that have been disappointed by the misleading "macro" term on the lens or in the description of the lens. Here is an accurate description of the lens by B&H photo:
The Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro Lens is a telephoto zoom lens that has a large maximum aperture of f/2.8 which remains constant throughout the zoom range. It also offers an excellent "close-focusing-distance" minimum of just 3.1' (0.95 m) throughout its entire zoom range, with a maximum macro magnification ratio of 1:3.1 at f=200mm. When mounted on an APS-C sensor size digital SLR camera, it provides a focal length equivalent of 105-300mm.

Just curious. . . how 'macro' do you want?
Thanks
Actually I was asking if anyone has used this lens with a Nikon D7000, I wasn't asking about the macro. Sorry for the confusion
