Thanks to Brent Harder, I went to the Getty Museum. Unfortunately, not all the beautiful flowers were in bloom. Spent 3 hours there and finally my 80 year old body said, "Enough." Anyway, here are some of the photos taken.

As always great pictures. I like the reflections in the water best.

Appreciate the positive comment. Plan to go back later this year when the days are shorter and shot at dusk and night.

Nice pictures, Bill! On the last shot, though, I would straighten the horizon. The foreground can be tilted and not be an issue. The horizon does through the viewer off-kilter. Of, course, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Try it and see how it looks!

I appreciate your reply. I see what you mean about the horizon on the last picture

OK! Now that we've all agreed these are nice pictures (are they are!). How about making them better than average PR style photos someone might take to illustrate the Getty in a brochure. Let's take, for example, the shot of the building with the fountain in front and the reflection of the opposite building on the windows. Here's where we separate the men from the boys and, say, "Hello, photoshop"! How about placing something in that window reflection that totally catches the viewer off guard? How about removing the building reflection and replacing it with an image of the Eiffel Tower? Now we're getting creative. We've moved from Reportage photography to creative photography? Can you think of other 'subtle' exchanges you can make with photoshop that will make the picture more than ordinary? Bet you can! (Picture #5)
