Looks like they were having a meeting and didn't invite you, as there's no place for you on the table! LOL Great shot.

And we have no idea what happened to the corners of the table either - just in case you were going to ask us.

Ask the handsome devil in the middle, I'd be willing to bet that he could shed some light.

We had a similiar occurence with a custom built pie safe and a Sun Conure who somehow got the idea that hand-milled wood was tasty.

I think every formerly decent piece of furniture I own has been chewed on. Now, the cheap stuff they just don't care for. I would be upset about a custom built pie safe being re-done.

It's kind of inevitable when you have things that chew. The Pie Safe was built by a very good friend that we used to do the craft show circuit with so it's the only one on the entire planet. Someday I will dust off the router and see if I can reduce the visibility of the damage but I have no idea what stain was used so that part will be interesting.

We also have 12 dogs so the few antiques that we have are kept in places they don't have access to. On the upside, with 48 feet carrying teeth, locking the door is completely unnecessary.

:) :-)

I have only 4 dogs and I would be divorced if I had more - husband is just not an animal person. My dogs are seniors and are well past the chewing stage thank goodness. But with 2 great grandsons, things do have to be locked up. And no I don't imagine anyone would want to enter your home with all those apparent teeth bared at them! I had a black lab (over 100 lbs) who slept by my bed and I figured anyone who got that far in the house would certainly be surprised when she stood up between their legs.

It is hard to look innocent with such a guilty look on their face.

We have two like that. Most are on the smallish side but they still make noise. The ones that might cause concern are the two that are part wolf/great pyrenees. Although its hard to be intimidated by something that has a three foot swing on its tail and acts like it never sees you if you're out of the room for 10 minutes. Then there is the Corgi that my daughter and son-in-law were unlucky enough to see ejected from a pickup truck. We needed another mouth to feet like a hole in the head but what are you going to do? We have 11 children for much the same reason.

Police will tell you that burglars generally won't mess with a home with dogs. I've had bigger dogs but mine are doxie rescues and they are noisy - unless of course they are sound asleep on the bed. A wolf-pyr should be intimidating to anyone! But I know what you mean. It's great when you have a dog that will lick strangers to death. As to the 11 children, no way could I have done that! Enough with my 2 as a single mom and then my granddaughter. I'm done except for the great grands.
