The people against guns are risking losing their freedom. Also try and protect your family with a pocket knife or are you against them too !

Yes you can! Just tell yourself, I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT! Just keep repeating until you realize how dumb your statement is.

Remember, Guns don't kill unless you pull the trigger. Be sure of your target front and behind. In fact, take a gun safety class so that YOU will be safe around others.

Most murders are not gangbangers against gang bangers, they are immediate family members and friends killing each other.
I can understand people possessing guns, what I can't understand is the unwillingness to restrict their access so that insane people and criminals don't get them.

There are hundreds of gun laws already on the books, to prevent criminals having access to guns. Trouble is, those people are *criminals* - they don't take any notice of the laws! Any laws restricting sales of guns will only impact the law-abiding citizens, by definition.

There are also laws to prevent drinking&driving, and we see how effective *those* are! I drive one of about 40 school buses here in town, and in the past 5 or 6 years, I have had *3* of my regular students killed in accidents where alcohol was a factor. To my knowledge, I have not lost a single student to a gun-related incident. Yet, nobody tries to ban motor cars...? Strange, that.

Guns are a tool. As with any tool they must be used with care. Many more people are killed by drunk drivers. Do we agitate to do away with automobiles, alcohol, and now legal Pot? I'm just saying.

Driving a car and owning a gun is two different matters. Owning a gun is a right not a privilege. I don't see why it should be mandatory to buy car insurance except that it keeps people from being sued. As for laws of the Road, that does make sense. It is the license that makes it a privilege. I have only taken one test in my life to drive a car and only one to have a CDL license. To get my last license I went on the Internet, filled out the application and payed my fee. Two weeks later it came in the mail. No eye test, no driving test.

Owning a gun is a Right - Driving a car, not owning a car, is a privilege.

If cars had been around in 1776, would you now be saying that anyone should be allowed to drive without any training?
