People are weird -
He sorta told me he was done with me.
It really didn't charge enough but now I think
he only wanted a couple of pictures.

The worst wedding was the one where I charged the least.
Lots of demands.
The best was the one in which I charged the most.
I got respect, I think partly because I (and they) valued that skill.
One should try to make a living doing something they love.
I am fortunate to be retired and without significant financial concerns, however I do like to keep busy and found they my interest in still and video photography has grown to an interest in creating multimedia shows, suitable for DVD, Blu-Ray or any of the social media sites.
I have found that folks will pay good money to have their vacations chronicled, communities will pay for marketing videos of their grounds and amenities and many organizations will pay for productions promoting whatever it is they are interested in.
Youtube is free, commands a world wide audience, supports HD and productions of up to 15 minutes in length.
I have taken a hobby and created a larger hobby that pays me a bit for my time and talent.......and it is really fun!
Here are a couple:

Had a guy I thought was a friend -
He just spent $4,000 in a recording studio doing a cd .
he ask me what I'd charge him to do some pictures for his cd.
I quoted him price of $100 for a two hour session
plus I would edit and put his pics on a cd .
Said he'd have to pass on that one.
Plus I think he is mad at me.
Money and friends don't mix. Same with borrowing. I am neither a borrower no a lender. If my lawnmower is dead, I buy a new one rather than borrow from a neighbor.

He was not a real friend, he was looking for a freebee and you didn't bite. You were more than fair - friends sometimes do not think about the expense involved in equipment, learning, travel, and your time.
I needed that and I really mean it - Thanks
A friend of mine makes large and small prints. Frames some and mat some. Some are cards and some are postcards. Then she goes to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. She doesn't sell much but she does sell something.
Read this one it may help.
http://www.thephotographerslife.com/gss/bsc/pre-press/You say you have lot of photos, go to every stock photo site on the internet and try it. I been getting this new letter for two years, she has some good stuff. I haven't tryed it but I see it will work. A lot of pictures you see on the net has GETTY that is someone just like you.
You can make up templates and sell on ebay. I buy 100s of them a year. Go to ebay to camera, background materal, and see whats go on. People make 1000s of dollars on ebay, I've make 100s on there. You name it I've sold it on there. But it ain't free. It ain't going to come to you, work at it.
The picture is the way I started, next week I think I can get a mule, maybe. anGODbless

What a template is.
Web site I think smugmug.com is the best, it cost and its worth it. My site is
www.snapshots2010.smugmug.com and I buy my domains from godaddy.com You can pick up some idea on templates on my site. I sold 52 DVDs of the tea cup for $10. each on ebay.
Thank you for that website contact, I will certainly check it out. One question. I have avoided Facebook, don't really have time or feel I want to deal with it, but it was suggested to me that it is a good way to display 'your stuff' and sell. Any comments on that?
Thanks,

Smugmug has been on my agenda for quite some time.
That's my next stop.
