Bob,

You look a little distorted, you might want to see a doctor and get that straightened out.
:-)

Now then about that airplane photos thread...

Post more soon,

Eric

Great shots in this thread. Mine pale in comparison.

Holly,

Not bad, I like the first one a lot but I would crop off the light part on the left. Split the tree right down the middle vertically, just to the left of the vertical support. This will focus the viewer on the reflection more.

The second one's reflection is too subtle and the out of focus coins are too much of a distraction. It took me a few seconds to find the reflection.

Post more soon,

Eric

Thanks for the info. Did the crop of the brightness but not sure where you are talking about on the vertical of the tree. Will post again.

Holly, Just a smidgen (that's an official photography term ;-)) to the left of the vertical support on the left is a tree that makes a border between the foliage and the bright sky, it is very thin. If you split that tree vertically or crop to just inside of it on the side closest the sluice that would be a good crop. You may have already cropped it there.

Looking forward to the repost of the newly cropped photo.

I like both photos. It's just that I love those old farm homes, and when I can't see the whole thing, it bugs me. Just a matter of preference. Most people are into the reflection. I want to see the house. This one reminds me of the one owned by my great grandparents in Ohio, except that it is bigger.

I went back to the park this morning to get the sunlight from a different angle. How's this?Fantastic shots. I love that old house, whether in color or B & W. Thanks for giving a great second effort.

While I was admiring old cars in the Hudson Museum near Goshen, IN, I turned around to see my wife making use of one of the big fender mirrors. SNAP...You can't see the refection, but be assured that it was beautiful.

Took this yesterday. I was taking shots in RAW & HDR to compare them. I liked the RAW best in this case, so here it is.
