The Florala, AL image was modified using a preset in the Nik HDR filter. The White Squirrel was shot in Olney,IL with a 5D-MKII, 600mm (300 f/2.8 W/2x extender) and the Bear sow was eating acorns in a tree and shot with 5D-MKII and 100-400mm Lens. All images hand held.

Yes, heavy but fast shutter speeds helps a lot. Also leaning against a tree.

First time I have seen a white squirrel, didn't know they existed. I have spent many hours taking shots of the squirrels where I live they are so entertaining, check out some of my posts

Not too far from your town. Was driving north from Panama City Beach, FL when I came through Florala.

Interesting white squirrel. They are abundant in Brevard NC, and spreading. We see a few in Hendersonville NC, about 30 miles East of Brevard. Now I know that they are found in Olney IL too.

Brevard has an annual white squirrel festival.

Question on software. You said you used Nik HDR. I have the Nik suite which includes Silver Efx but I'm using it as a pre-set with Adobe Elememts. My understanding is that the HDR will not work with Elements. True? What software do you use? I also have photomatix

I'm unfamiliar with Elements. I use Lightroom and Photoshop.
