Woman stops Grizzly attack with 25 cal. pistol
This is a story of self-control and marksmanship. A woman survived a grizzly bear attack with one well-placed shot from her itsy bitsy .25 caliber Beretta Jetfire.
These are her own words.:
While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend, we were surprised when a huge grizzly bear came charging at us out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.
If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire I would not be here today! I yanked it out of my purse and fired one shot.
It hit my boyfriend in his kneecap and the bear caught him easily. While the grizzly mauled the poor cripple, I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.
I love that pistol I'll find other boyfriends.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.........................
NICE!
if they had broke out in a run , she would just had to be faster than him.
True story my 76 year old father and I (age 40 at the time) was fishing out west when a couple of grizzlies came out into the river downstream. I suggested to my dad we move on, being a typical stubborn old codger, he refused saying the bears were far enough away! I replied but the bear are very fast and can get to us quickly. He still refused to leave. I than muttered well at least I'll be ok! He asked why. To which I replied because I am faster then you. We then moved on to a new section of river!
You don't have to outrun the bear, just the person standing next to you.
A good morning smile. At first I wondered how you got the Beretta into Canada but then realized it was a a chuckle. Being Canadian, all we do here is what some of the others say...being able to run faster than others in your party. Have a great day.

So do you have to apologise to the person you are outrunning? You know being Canadian and all? ;-)
I'll bet the new boyfriend won't stick around long if you tell him that story, unless he can take a joke.
Dave
In most cases, when there is trouble, the person who is armed comes out ahead.
